We cannot get enough of @jisuartist’s portraits!

Even though her work looks extremely playful and is filled to the brim with colorful and cute elements, Jisu often challenges topics such as mental health and societal pressure.

What I especially love about these portraits are the eyes of her distinct characters that seem to pull us into each piece and indicate the narrative. Jisu takes us on a new ‘trip’ into her surreal world of imagination with each of her drawings!

The ‘Chartreuse Strolling’ was exhibited during @mynameistran’s solo exhibition called ‘Remedy’ at @thinkspace_art. The statement points out that the showcase “is a collection of work focusing on the complicated relationship between humans and nature. (...) ‘Remedy’ creates a utopian world where a small human population and a variety of flora and fauna coexist in a symbiotic relationship, giving way to magical species and fantastical visuals."
