Opening on August 8 at Corey Helford Gallery is the enigmatic new solo exhibition by French sculptor, Ornélie, which will pull you through the veil of polite smiles and composed faces to peek into a world far more raw and emotionally charged - but not without its beauty. Midnight Bloom is an exhibition of gothic wonder, centered around a series of psychological portraits that evoke resilience, adaptation and survival. A year in the making, Ornélie presents female figures where, beneath the surface, something adapts, reorganizes, and survives.
Renée Tay continues to captivate audiences with her distinctive sculptural practice as she presents a vibrant series of exhibitions across the United States and online.

Art has always been Kate Balfe’s way of navigating the complexities of big emotions, a tool to transform the intangible into a window through which she can connect with the deep emotions of others. Her work exists in the charged space where fear meets imagination.
The team at Quarantine have been exploring how words can limit the artist. As they put it: there are limitations that can arise when an artist becomes “trapped in someone else's vocabulary”. But what exactly does that mean?

Nico Pearleyes is a French painter and graphic designer. He started painting during the lockdown in 2020 and quickly discovered it was what he had been seeking for years to express himself. He explores the boundary between reality and imagination through a visual language shaped by diverse influences ranging from Renaissance painting to traditional Korean art, from skateboard culture to science fiction and from post-impressionist landscapes to pop surrealism. His work stems from the idea that there is no strict separation between the real and the imagined. Reality is shaped by imagination, just as imagination is grounded in reality. Perception is not a neutral process; it is filtered through emotion, culture, and aesthetics in order to become meaningful. Nico embraces the hybrid nature of contemporary perception. His paintings often represent distorted landscapes, symbolic animals, and ambiguous characters, exploring our way to represent reality, mixing both what is real and imagined.

BEAUTIFUL BIZARRE ARTIST DIRECTORY | We are excited to welcome artist @_desx_⭐
Luca Ximenes, known as DesX, is an Italian artist born in 1976 in L’Aquila and currently based in Rome. With a background in architecture, he skillfully integrates technical expertise with a profound passion for visual arts. He works primarily in oil painting, muralism, and street art. Active since the early 1990s, he gained recognition for his work in public spaces and the underground scene. His artistic identity is characterized by a research-driven approach focused on fragmentation and layered imagery, creating complex visual narratives open to multiple interpretations. DesX’s art centers on suspended, often female figures portrayed with lyrical realism and a meticulous focus on light and skin tones. His subjects frequently dissolve or fragment into visual glitches—digital-like distortions that challenge narrative continuity and evoke themes of emotional depth, absence, and shifting identity.
