"90% of all of my photos were taken from my car. I’ll drive aimlessly around if I have to in order to find something interesting." - Jeff Czum.
No matter the historical era, one thing never seems to change - we all want to be forever young, don't we?
Even Queen Elizabeth I - who reigned from 1558 until 1603 - was keen on the idea of her artistic visage being immune to the often cruel hands of mother nature.
That's why her principle artist Nicholas Hilliard - who was one of London's most popular miniature portrait painters - spent the better part of three decades immortalizing her visage in an idealized manner...without lines, shadows, or the key indicators that she was getting on in years.
The painting featured in this post - one of many quite flattering likenesses of the Virgin Queen (originally created by Nicholas Hillard) - has been taken to the next level of fanciful frippery thanks to @annekristinvaudour's contemporized eyewear design.
We like to think that with all of the fashion-forward decadence that the queen was accustomed to, she'd really appreciate the rosy new perspective that Anne's digital intervention has bestowed upon her.😊
