As the Editor-in-Chief of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, I have had the pleasure of working with many incredible Paper Artists for almost 7 years now – for the magazine itself, our web blog, our curated exhibitions, the Beautiful Bizarre Magazine Art Prize, and of course, sharing their work across our 980,000+ strong social media network.
As we get stuck into the new year and new decade, I wanted to share with you a list of people whom I believe are among the greatest living and working paper artists of 2019. As you will see the list includes many different paper art techniques including: paper folding, paper cutting, paper sculpture, huge paper installations, paper set design, paper quilling, origami and so much more! This is not an exhaustive list by any means, and is not in any particular order, however as you will see the works speak for themselves. You may note that there are some paper artists who are conspicuously missing, this is because I have not included artists with a minimal or no Instagram presence, because as you will see all the artists mentioned below are linked to their Instagram accounts, so you can quickly and easily follow them too!

Finally, paper artists can also enter the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize in the Yasha Young Sculpture Award category. The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize is an annual international art prize that celebrates diversity and excellence in the representational visual arts, in all static mediums including Traditional Art media, Digital Art media, and Photographic media; and all styles. The Prize seeks to inspire creatives from around the world to pursue a life and career in the arts, and to help careers grow through financial support for their practice, and increased exposure of their work to galleries, collectors and media globally.
