No one can miss the mysterious and haunting qualities of Korin Faught‘s recent body of works. In them, sleeplessness, repose, and eternal sleep are multiplied and juxtaposed in ways that seem to express restlessness, anxiety, and – finally – resignation. “My intention is to describe the moment and all moments,” she shares, “a place that is at once self-referential and omni-referential, which is what we are, have always been, and always will be.” This evocative series of paintings are going to be on view through October 29, 2016; and you wouldn’t want to miss the chance to see them in person. So, if you happen to be in or near Los Angeles this weekend, stop by Corey Helford Gallery before the gallery’s closing time (at 6pm).
