Curators, husband and wife artistic duo ‘Doubleparlour’ present ‘The Zealot’s Elixir’ a sculptural group exhibition at Modern Eden Gallery from 7 February 2015. The Zealot’s Elixir features fabulous pieces from international and local artists whose “work holds emotional and intellectual qualities that engage the viewer, as well as a commitment to perfecting their craft. The theme of the show is based false prophets and snake oil. The artists each present a unique interpretation on this theme that embodies trickery, faith, hope, and lies”, in various mediums including, ceramic, resin, wood and found objects.
The opening reception will be held at Modern Eden Gallery on Saturday, February 7 from 6 – 10pm. Curators, Ernie and Cassandra Velasco (Doubleparlour) and select featured artists will be in attendance at the reception. The exhibition will be on display through March 7, 2015 and is free and open to the public.
