Nick Sheehy: Portraits
Press Release: Portraits is the first Arch Enemy produced solo exhibition by London based and Australian-born artist and illustrator, Nick Sheehy. For the new collection, Nick’s signature dream-like, semi-autobiographical and oddball characters become landscapes, where the stories are told within the details and create narratives within narratives and characters inside characters.
Erich J. Moffitt: Toy Chest Apocalypse
Press Release: A staple in Arch Enemy group shows for several years, Erich J. Moffitt’s debut Arch Enemy feature plays to what he does best, brightly colored, whimsical, illustrative, storybook-like paintings, for a new collection inspired by Albrecht Dürer’s woodcuts illustrating the scenes of the New Testament Book of Revelations. Toy Chest Apocalypse explores the characters and narratives of the apocalypse through a child’s fantasy of vintage and modern toys come to life. Here, themes of prophecy, epic celestial conflict, and monstrous horror are colorfully and irreverently explored with tin robots, vinyl collectibles, action figures, as well as household pets, various small birds, rodents, and insects.
