Mark your calendars because Arch Enemy Arts is starting the year with two exciting shows. With vivid composition, Alex Garant‘s ‘Viscera’ solo exhibition undoubtedly penetrates the imagination, leaving viewers immersed in wonder and interpretation.
‘Swallowed By The Jungle’ delves deep into the natural world and environmental issues while envisioning a future far removed from the normalcy of modern humankind. This new group exhibition features work from Ania Tomicka, Alex Louisa, Chris Austin, Craww, David Seidman, Halsey Swain, Hannah Yata, Kristina Drake, Naoto Hattori, Nick Pedersen, Nom Kinnear King, Mary O’Malley, Paul Romano and Winona Nelson.
“Each contribution captures scenes and stories of the sudden power of nature’s wrath, the result of a slow reclamation over time like how some ancient cities have been ‘swallowed by the jungle’. While some pictured a world without humans at all, others choose leave the presence of people ambiguous and simply take time appreciate the beauty and wonder of the animals, or forests, or wilderness we know.” ~ AEA
Additionally, for more than a year in the making, Arch Enemy Arts has focused their attention on a wonderfully altruistic cause to help raise awareness for the wounded and homeless veterans through the non-profit Warriors Pathfinder Organization. Artistic prosthesis from this project will be available for auction January 31! See them in person as part of the AEA Painted Prosthetic Project Gallery Show Opening, January 6, 2017.
