“Here’s a work-in-progress for “Poissons Volants: Les Oiseaux” (Flying Fish: The Birds) – a piece that will be part of my Birds and Beasties show. Part of my Poissons Volants series, combining winged fish and Rococo portraiture, this also features the Turquoise Motmot bird (who I encountered many time on my birdwatching trip to Mexico earlier this year). I’m working on the decoration in her hair – just outlining it now – it will be be peacock feathers!”
