Whispering tales of dinosaurs and exotic wildlife, enter the fantasy and join Eight And Sand Gallery on October 10, 2015 to celebrate Jasmine Becket-Griffith‘s solo exhibition, ‘Birds & Beasties’. With a captivating new collection of acrylic paintings, Jasmine explores the “natural, fantastical, and historical” together with her ethereal female figures and takes viewers along for the journey.

“Here’s a work-in-progress for “Poissons Volants: Les Oiseaux” (Flying Fish: The Birds) – a piece that will be part of my Birds and Beasties show. Part of my Poissons Volants series, combining winged fish and Rococo portraiture, this also features the Turquoise Motmot bird (who I encountered many time on my birdwatching trip to Mexico earlier this year). I’m working on the decoration in her hair – just outlining it now – it will be be peacock feathers!”
