Carving a path from his visionary style to the individual viewer, each ceramic sculpture tells a story of the artist’s imagination. Exploring personal experiences with social anxiety, his work engages our emotional faculties and we find ourselves immersed in the narrative and creative concepts of his feathered friends.

We are excited to present our October group exhibition, Bacchus. Bacchus, also known as Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, inebriation, fertility, and theater. He is known to be joyous and kind to those who admire him, yet cruel and mischievous to those who cross him. Participating artists channel the spirit of Bacchus in their work, explore the dichotomy of his character, the dance between pleasure and pandemonium, serenity and chaos.

We are excited to present our third major gallery solo exhibition by San Francisco ceramic artist, Calvin Ma, Blend In: Standstill. Calvin Ma is a ceramic sculptor born and raised in San Francisco, California. He received his BA in Industrial Arts from San Francisco State University and MFA in sculpture from the Academy of Art University.
His art has been awarded accolades across the country including The Artery Award (2014), 1st Place at the ACGA National Clay & Glass Exhibition (2013), Best of Show at 2nd Annual Workhouse Clay National (2012), and Best in Show MFA at Academy of Art University, Spring Show (2011). His works have been published in 500 Figures in Clay volume 2, 2014, (New York, NY) and GEEK-ART Une Anthologie(Paris, France). His pieces are in various public and private collections, including the Crocker Art Museum.
