Unveiling new and bespoke works by Ed Binkley: ‘Beasties Big & Small’ at Copro Gallery

The upcoming ‘BEASTIES BIG AND SMALL’ solo exhibition is artist Ed Binkley’s third exhibition with Copro Gallery, which will open this Saturday, 5 April. This gorgeous show includes 11 original drawings by Ed as well as ten original artworks from a limited, sold-out book illustrated by Ed for SUNTUP EDITIONS, titled Swan Song. “Developed from my lifelong fascination with beings who may (or may not) inhabit the interstices of our own lives – the noises we hear deep in the house at night, the things we might have seen in a garden or forest, beings who want seclusion, who stay in our peripheral vision.” He shares. Additionally, several of Ed Binkley’s limited edition Tool posters will also be on exhibit, including some rare hand-embellished pieces!

During the past year I was offered the privilege of illustrating Robert McCammon’s very popular novel ‘Swan Song‘, published by Suntup Editions. It was a wonderful experience and a real treat to work on. McCammon’s epic novel about the collapse and ultimate re-birth of society gave me plenty of ideas for visuals, and the publisher and I finally had to narrow our choices down to these significant story points.

And the novel’s breadth – from genuine horror to some very touching, poignant scenes – is an illustrator’s dream-come-true.
