INPRNT TAKES OVER Beautiful Bizarre

Every month we choose one of our favourite creatives to TAKE OVER the Beautiful Bizarre Magazine social media for the day. For July, we chose INPRNT to share with us the artists who have inspired them. INPRNT is a proud sponsor of the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize 2020: learn more HERE!

Just in case you missed it, below we present the full TAKE OVER

INPRNT // Hi again! We are INPRNT, back for our second TAKE OVER at Beautiful Bizarre. We’re thrilled to feature seven more of the artists at INPRNT, including Lois van Baarle, Billelis, Jakub Rebelka, Kristin Kwan, Fernanda Suarez, Will Murai and Caitlin Bellah. Our community of artists creates stunning work across a range of styles and themes, and it’s an honor to make prints for them at our studio. We are also proud sponsors of the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize and can’t wait to see all of your submissions this year!

Lois van Baarle // We’re continually inspired by Lois van Baarle’s dream-like portraits and it’s been a pleasure working with her over the years. We have teamed up with Lois for a fundraiser supporting Black Lives Matter through the month of July, featuring nine portraits of black women. Proceeds are going to the Equal Justice Initiative @eji_org, the Okra Project @theokraproject, the Black Voters Matter Fund @blackvotersmtr and the Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective.

Billelis // Billelis is a freelance 3D Illustrator & Art Director specializing in dark visuals and decorative art. He claimed 1st place last year in the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize’s Digital Art category, and we are not surprised with his work being both captivating and elegantly dark. He is currently based in Edinburgh, where he is constantly evolving his hyper-real style across mediums. With a keen eye for intricate detail, he draws inspiration from gothic art, tattoos, anatomy and the macabre.

Jakub Rebelka // Polish freelance artist Jakub Rebelka creates intricately detailed illustrations and concept art in both digital and traditional mediums. He effortlessly merges styles of science fiction and fantasy into stunning pieces that will have you craving more scenes from his distinct world. His unique style combines traditional techniques of acrylic paints and watercolors with digital tools like Photoshop. Jakub’s illustrations have been featured in comic books and video games like the fantasy RPG The Witcher 2.

Kristin Kwan // Kristin Kwan is a surreal oil painter who uses elements of fantasy and allegory to explore themes of life, death and rebirth. Inspired by childhood memories of exploring her home looking for hidden stairways, unknown attics and forgotten treasures, Kristin strives to bring some of that magic and mystery back to life in her work. Explore her paintings with us and be transported between a dream and a fairy tale.

Fernanda Suarez // Digital painter Fernanda Suarez is known for her sensual, colorful portraits. Capturing the subject’s emotions and thoughts through their expressions and gaze, every portrait is beautifully detailed with moods ranging from gritty to girly. She currently works as a freelance illustrator and concept artist for the books and games industries and she is available for private commissions.

Will Murai // From beautiful fully-rendered fantastical scenes, to more traditional black and white ink wash drawings, Will Murai consistently crafts charming illustrations. Inspired by his Japanese heritage, he rediscovers and explores the culture and history of his ancestors through his work. He currently lives in California, where he works as an illustrator and concept artist in the entertainment industry.

Caitlin Bellah // For 15 years Caitlin Bellah has drawn inspiration from her first love, painting, in her work as a photographer. She pulls in painterly elements of light, pose and framing into each piece, crafting an atmosphere that is timeless and otherworldly. Her work often tells a story, especially her fashion photography, which aims to convey a fantasy. She is drawn to honesty and vulnerability, which both shine in her work.

This was the last piece chosen by INPRNT for their TAKE OVER. Thank you again INPRNT, we really appreciate you taking the time to put this day together.
