A letter from Haven Gallery:
Hello Everyone,
I hope that you and your loved ones are all healthy and well during these unique times. Although our gallery is currently not open to the public, nor holding events at this time, we still plan to bring you our scheduled shows online. Art is not to be left in the shadows during a time where its light can help us mentally and emotionally as we adapt to the new challenges. The transportative and dreamlike qualities of our artists work will surely bring brightness for those creating and for all of us to experience. My spirits were lifted when all our artists sent me their artworks for these beautiful exhibitions. I hope I can do the same for you now.
While art cannot be viewed in person, I will do my very best to fully utilize technology and social platforms to bring you continued videos, tours and live video conversations with many of our artists. I will host many of these from home to avoid unnecessary travel. So if there is anything you’d like to see more of, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I will not let not being at the gallery get in the way of showing you all how hard our artists worked on their pieces and how exceptional these works are.
As artists continue to create and find inspiration during trying times, I ask that you support them with extra “likes” and encouraging comments on their social media pages and email campaigns. We inspire them not just with acquiring their works but with our engagement. As always, if there is any artwork you find yourself connecting with, please do not hesitate to be in touch. Like usual, we are very flexible with payment plans and are still actively working on our end to continue sharing art with you.
Best Wishes and Health,
Erica and Joe

Ingrid Tusell, “Into the Wild”
*Event will be online only*
Northport, NY– Haven Gallery is pleased to present Ingrid Tusell for her first solo exhibition, “Into the Wild”, at the gallery. “Into the Wild” will display thirteen new oil paintings by the Barcelona based artist. Each painting depicts the portrait of a strong female presence. The aura of the feminine personality is coupled with an animal counterpart that suites the unique personality of each piece. The presence of flora and fauna further the idea of a deep connection to nature.
ABOUT INGRID TUSELL // Ingrid Tusell is an artist who was born in Barcelona and is now living in an old restored mill in the mountainous terrain of Teruel, Spain. Ingrid paints women who are reminiscent of strong female indigenous warriors. Their frozen, intense gaze permeates a sense of “otherworldly” knowledge and feminine universal energy. Often riddled with animal and plant life, Ingrid’s female subjects meld within their environments allowing them to have a symbiotic connection to nature. Ingrid’s heroines are not only eco-warriors at heart but spiritual mystics in soul. There is a thoughtful vulnerability in Ingrid’s work that is highlighted by her earthy color palette and expressive brush strokes. Ingrid Tusell has exhibited in various parts of the world. Her work has been part of group shows for Alexi Era Gallery in Eugene, Oregon, Haven Gallery in Newport, New York, La Bodega Gallery in San Diego, California and Swoon Gallery in Los Angeles, California.
Eeva Nikunen, “Let the Dream Begin”
*Event will be online only*

The artwork is inspired by the world of Victoriana and Fantasy. Eeva is also motivated by some of her favorite literary works such as, Alice in Wonderland, as the White Rabbit can be seen in several of her new pieces. Through her meticulous detail and precisely rendered brushwork, these moments of imagination and nostalgia encapsulate and transport us to our youth and reignite own sense of innocent wonder.
ABOUT EEVA NIKUNEN // Eeva Nikunen is an artist, born and living in the south of Finland. Much of her work is inspired by the stories and imagery of Finnish and Russian folktales, as well as the timeless heroes and heroines found in classic literature. With an emphasis on detail and the use of intricate brushwork, her oil paintings are reminiscent of classic fairytale illustrations where human and animal creatures alike possess a magical and dreamlike quality.
Eeva completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree with the emphasis on design studies at the Institute of Art and Design in Vantaa, Finland.
