Tonight Distinction Gallery proudly presents “Resurrection”, the solo exhibition of Linnea Strid. With a distinctive style, her notable brushwork and detailed compositions create an impressive body of work. Capturing a creative realism to her portraits that are often as sultry as they are genuine to our everyday lives, join them in the celebration of “Resurrection” and see her beautiful paintings for yourself.
ArtHatch is a 7,000 square foot building which houses Distinction Gallery: exhibitions changing monthly, multiple exhibition spaces featuring work by represented artists, “The Alley” featuring over 20 local artists, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring local artists and the ArtHatch teens.
From the director: “From the moment I first saw Linnea’s works I fell in love. Then, I met her in person and knew I needed to work with her again. It is an absolute pleasure to host her solo exhibition at Distinction Gallery. I cannot wait to see what she creates”.
About the Artist:
Linnea Strid is a young, Sweden based Artist who is making her mark in the fine art community. Her hyper-realistic oil paintings are most identifiable by her intriguing use of water in portraiture. This reflective, beautifully haunting application captures intimate moments of self-examination, fear and loneliness. With extreme realistic detail, the eye is often fooled to believing it is a photograph.
