JASON BRYANT – ‘FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE’
Artist Statement : “Oh don’t let us ask for the moon, we already have the stars!”. For this new series of paintings, old Hollywood glamour comes to life through vibrant colours and elegant black and white imagery. Two years in the making, Icons such as James Dean, Cary Grant, Rita Hayworth and other Hollywood legends are hyper-realistically brought to life on the canvas. In this transcendent visual experience , we are taken out of the modern day gallery and to a forgotten world of elegance and glamour.
MONIQUE VAN STEEN – ‘INNER BEAUTY’
Artist Statement : In a society that thrives upon self-deception and superficial values, depicting sincere inner awareness, more as an urge than just for positive change, is an act of rebellion.
ARIEL KATZIR – ‘[S T A M P]’
Artist Statement: [STAMP] Making a mark, leaving a print behind, with me as the instrument for transferral. The stamp pressing and mashing heavily on the surface below. These are the imprints I have left for you.
