Arthatch and Distinction Gallery present Virginie Mazureau‘s first solo exhibition in the United States. Virginie is a French artist who recently moved to Carlsbad, CA. This exhibition will feature 18 of her newest whimsical mixed media paintings. With a Baccalaureate degree in Fine Arts and an Interior Design degree from ESAG Penninghen (Paris), she started her career as an interior designer and was responsible for giving Marlboro Classics’ flagship stores total makeovers. A year later, she started to work for L’Oreal and was assigned to design the worldwide cosmetics company’s merchandise displays and shops. Unfortunately, she finds the job’s intense pace detrimental to her creativity and imagination. Inspired by her daughter’s playful, free, and innocent spirit, she decided to pursue a career that allows her creative spirit to soar. Through her works, she creates beautiful portals that allow us to peer into serene, joyful, and harmonious childhood memories where children play and roam free.
