@kanemaki_yoshitoshi is known for his multi-faced figurative sculptures, a visual that pretty accurately describes the human condition as a social animal. The artist creates his one-piece sculptures from woodblocks, a technique called “ichiboku-zukuri” in Japanese. Digitally reproduced, his works look small and delicate, but in reality, the sculptures are often life-sized!

Sometimes memories seem like a dream and, the same way, some dreams feel like memories. @alanabartonart’s paintings remind me of this idea.
