2025 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Finalists share their success stories

“It’s not just about winning; plenty of Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize finalists have also enjoyed a boost to their careers!”

Each year, the Editor-in-Chief of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine and the team review all entries submitted to the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize. From the entries received, the 200 short-listed Finalists [25 per Drawing, Digital Art, Photography, Sculpture, Imaginative Realism and Emerging Artist Award categories, and 50 for Painting award category] will receive extensive international promotion through Beautiful Bizarre Magazine’s email marketing, website coverage, social media marketing & advertising, and additional connections and outreach through our partners, friends, supporters and media.

The esteemed Jury Panel, which changes each year, then reviews each Finalist’s work and practice, and casts their vote. From these votes the Winners in each Award category – and the overall Grand Prize Winner – are selected.

Success Stories

Previous Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Finalists have shared their progress stories with us, and we want to celebrate these achievements. So why not take a few minutes to discover what some of the 2025 Finalists have been up to since last year’s Art Prize.

Omma Moon

“Since becoming a finalist in the 2025 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize, my career has taken a huge leap forward! Just recently, I was offered my first solo show in my local area this September, and I have also had the honour of being included in several international group exhibitions in London and Barcelona.”

“These are things I couldn’t have dreamed of happening just a year ago when I graduated art school. The community, exposure, and platform that the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize offers its artists and finalists is a game-changer.”

Dory Whynot

“Since 2025, I’ve been invited to participate in several group shows. The thing I was most excited about, however, has been the opportunity to work with a gallery for my debut solo show, an incredible and challenging experience from which I made a collection that I am very, very proud of.

The recognition from the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize and getting to see my work among so many artworks from artists I admire has given me a huge confidence boost in my own creative abilities and ambitions.”

Love Mana

“Since being named a Finalist for the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize 2025, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in exhibitions with Thinkspace Projects, which has been especially meaningful as it has long been a dream gallery of mine to work with. The exposure from the prize brought incredibly uplifting feedback and new eyes to my work, which helped open many doors. I also have upcoming shows planned with Thinkspace, Nanny Goat Gallery, Hive Gallery, and The Vendue Gallery.”

“The opportunities since becoming a finalist have been plentiful, and I’m grateful to now be in the position of painting consistently for gallery exhibitions — currently booked well into 2027. It’s been an incredibly motivating period of growth and momentum in my practice.”

Mitsuko Kuroki

“The biggest change for me since being selected as a finalist in 2025 is the increased confidence in my work. It was an incredibly meaningful experience as an artist to realize that people around the world, not just myself, appreciate and value my work. Being selected as a finalist has also led to new opportunities and offers from galleries overseas. I hope to use this inspiration to continue growing as an artist. I am truly grateful to the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize for providing me with this wonderful opportunity.”

Tokyo Jesus

“Being selected as a Finalist for the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize 2025 has brought meaningful momentum to my practice. Since then, I have continued exhibiting in group shows with Beinart Gallery, and I am also preparing for further exhibitions with them, including a future solo show. In addition, I have received several solo exhibition offers from multiple well-known galleries. Through this recognition, I have been able to connect with a wider range of collectors, art enthusiasts, and galleries than before, as well as fellow artists whose practices resonate with mine. These new relationships have been both professionally inspiring and personally meaningful.”

“I have also noticed increased attention from audiences who were previously unfamiliar with my work, which has expanded my reach beyond my existing collector base. I am deeply grateful for the new connections and opportunities that have emerged.”

Eva Toorenent

“Since being selected as a Finalist for the Emerging Artist award category, I have been contacted by several publishers who wanted to feature my work in their publications. My gallery schedule for group shows is almost entirely filled for the rest of this year, and I have so many fun projects in the works. Besides that, my own book, which I have been working on for several years, has attracted a publisher’s interest, and we are currently in talks. Really excited to see what 2026 has in store!

“Becoming a finalist in the 2025 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize has brought me not only extraordinary prestige but also a genuine wave of good fortune.”

“The recognition from such a notable international prize has served as an amazing calling card in the art world, boosting my visibility on social media, among collectors, galleries, and fellow artists, and affirming that I’m truly on the right path.

Since then, I participated in other prestigious international competitions, including the Almenara Art Prize 2025, where I was delighted to receive an Honorable Mention. I have taken on high-profile commissions, allowing me also to create work on a larger scale. I completed the mural portrait of the Venerable Servant of God Madre Isabella de Rosis to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Istituto ‘Madre Isabella de Rosis’ dedicated to her legacy. I am also excited to be working on other large-scale paintings for a church, an opportunity that feels profoundly inspiring.

Most importantly, this recognition has helped me believe even more deeply in my artistic work and in myself. It has given me renewed confidence, a stronger sense of direction, and the courage to keep pushing forward.”

Zach Meyer

“Since becoming a finalist, two really important changes have happened for me. First, it gave me the confidence to pursue my art full time. I’ve scaled back my teaching, and now I spend most of my days drawing for book covers and galleries. Second, it’s helped me connect with a much larger audience. My social media reach has grown significantly, and my inbox is now full of opportunities that let me focus more on the work I love doing.”

Olivia Mozzola a.k.a. “Liv Art Photography”

“Being selected as a finalist truly increased my visibility and exposure on social media and at an international level. I was able to connect with many other interesting Artists, do many cool projects and get noticed by Galleries. I just recently signed a contract with a Gallery for a limited edition series of my work and this opportunity for me has been a dream come true as a Fine Art photographer.
