Nika Nyoko is a skilled freelance illustrator with a Master’s degree in Art Pedagogy. She has been illustrating children’s books for about 15 years. Her interests, however, have turned to watercolor and oil painting, which she utilizes to delve into the heart of human connections and inner self-awareness.
Nika’s paintings are a mirror of herself, with multi-layered compositions that promote introspection and illustrate archetypes created utilizing a combination of old master techniques with modern digital sensitivities.
She believes that her art is a conversation about ourselves, with ourselves, and that it should be honest and naked, without any regard for social rank or pretentiousness. Nika’s canvases are the outcome of contemplation on causal links in a seemingly chaotic universe, as well as recognition of complicated repeated behavioural patterns.
She uses the nude body in this context to create meaningful and thought-provoking pieces that engage viewers on a deeper level.

Each painting communicates a message that is embedded in the visual aspects. She is fascinated by human interactions and our motivations.
