Mayuka Yamamoto is known for her oil paintings portraying children in animal suits or possessing animal features, to reveal their inner world.
Like a protective armor in response to their emotions and psychological state, they seem to instinctively hide behind a second skin in the form of animal costumes or some other defensive physical animalistic features. In some of the pieces, Yamamoto paints settings inspired by nature, further enhancing the contemplative space into which the subject seems to find solace in the dreamlike natural habitat.
Her solo show ends at @coreyhelfordgallery on 30th October - only ten days left to see her wonderful works in person! 😮

Roland Mihail’s paintings take the viewers on a visual journey into a world of intricate details, sacred objects, and intertwined narratives. The artist @rolandmikhail, who also creates powerful and delicate sculptures, shares in his statement:
“Years ago, I started an investigation into the nature of sacred objects. What I came away with was an understanding of their character and creation. This became the bedrock of my creative process. (...) There are some works that once the eyes see, they cannot forget. The psyche is seized somehow. These are works that touch and feed the soul. I strive to make something for the world that the eyes cannot forget.”
