This piece was created by Shane Izykowski (@shaneizykowskiartist), who is the co-curator of Palette Gallery's dark art exhibition.
Among his many art-related career experiences, he worked as Madame Tussauds former lead artist (at their San Francisco location), which must have been kinda nifty.
As for the thematic explorations in his art, he generally delves into "the human condition and how we deal with trauma, grief and suffering." He adds, "A lot of dark art is a pure reflection of real human emotion, and what better way to work through some of that than head on?"
