We have the best intentions every year to close entries on time. But once again we have humbly bowed to your wishes, and are extending the deadline to midnight 31 July [Los Angeles date/time]. Just to give you all a little more time to enter your amazing art and photography.
Last week we announced that the deadline to submit your work has been extended – the 2026 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize now closes on Friday 31 July 2026 at midnight [Los Angeles, USA time] / 5pm 1 August [Sydney, Australia time]. The unveiling begins - and what a year it has been for the BearWolf Books Emerging Artist Award category! Open to all mediums, we saw an amazing and diverse selection of entries. Our Jury Panel - including esteemed Arts Champions Catherine K. Gyllerstrom of BearWolf Books and Vicki Fox of Quirky Fox Gallery - have been going through the entries and making the incredibly difficult decisions. Once again, the overall quality of entries was exceptional; we are deeply honoured by our community's interest in the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize.
This year, the caliber of talent within the Sculpture Award category has been nothing short of extraordinary. We have been deeply moved by the diverse range of vision, technical mastery, and innovative use of materials presented by sculptors from around the globe. Our Jury Panel - including esteemed sculptor Matthias Verginer - have been reviewing the entries. With such a wealth of exceptional work, the task of selecting this year’s finalists has been an incredibly difficult, yet inspiring challenge; we are deeply honoured by our community's interest in the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize.
With the Photography Award judging complete, we are thrilled to share the 25 MPB Photography Award Finalists of this year’s Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize! Our sincere thanks major sponsor MPB, and to this year’s Jury Panel, including esteemed creative photographer Franz Szony for giving his time and expertise to this year’s judging process.
Judging the INPRNT Digital Art Award was a formidable challenge, given the exceptional diversity and technical skill of this year's entrants. We extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed Jury Panel, with special thanks to Arts Champion Joshua Zika, founder of INPRNT, and esteemed digital artist Bastien Lecouffe Deharme, for lending their invaluable expertise to the selection process.
This year the 33PA Drawing Award received an impressive number of entries, all demonstrating remarkable skill and artistic vision. We are very grateful our esteemed Arts Champion Didi Menendez, Founder of 33PA and Gallery Director of 33 Contemporary Gallery, and to this year's Jury Panel, particularly April Carter Curator at PoetsArtists and 33 Contemporary Gallery, and award-winning Drawing artist Ed Binkley, who have been going through the entries and making the incredibly difficult decisions. Open to traditional mediums: painting, drawing or sculpture (with a special focus on imaginative realism), we have enjoyed a truly broad selection of entries. Our Jury Panel - including esteemed Arts Champions Catherine K. Gyllerstrom, collector, Art Consultant, Owner & Art Director of BearWolf Books, and Patrick Wilshire of IX Arts and IX Gallery - have been going through the entries and making the incredibly difficult decisions.
