Copro Gallery opens its door this weekend to three artists of astounding caliber. Southern Californian artist Cam Rackam shares his selection of 10 new oil paintings, while Joe Vaux displays his own ‘Balancing Act’ with his latest new works. For those waiting for Mark Garro’s rescheduled upcoming show, prepare for a sneaky preview as an additional treat!

Growing up surrounded by a multitude of different artistic styles and cultures, Cam Rackam subtly amalgamates the strengths of the old masters and illustrators with elements of Caravaggio and Velázquez complimenting Rackam’s darkly atmospheric portraits and still life paintings. Hauntingly alluring, Cam Rackam’s painting provoke fascination and. Illustrator and Art Director, his artistic insight has also caught the eye of musical creators including Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold and Sir Paul McCartney.
In ‘Balancing Act’, Joe Vaux exhibits his selection of small works produced over the past couple of years, built on his years in the animation industry and as a professional illustrator. His selection of oil on wood creations laser beam his wonderfully outlandish imagination directly into your soul. “We all have many balls in the air in this life of ours” says Joe. “Being a father, a husband, a Director on the television show “Family Guy” and a person who has a ton of monsters in his head, I’ve found it challenging to keep all my balls moving. (Ha!) This art exhibit includes work from the histories of Hand vs Foot as well as creatures that inhabit my mind-scape.”
Additionally, Copro Gallery previews a few select paintings from Mark Garro’s upcoming, rescheduled show ‘Blue of the World’. Garro’s full exhibition will display on May 12, 2018 – watch this space for more information!
