How do you approach the challenger of staying motivated and inspired in your art practice, and what strategies do you use to keep your creative flowing?
For me, creativity = originality. I think imagining stories from natural moments I encounter on Earth with my five senses is what sustains my creativity. I have two sons, and for the past 14 years, the time I have been able to devote to art has been limited. Because I have to create art intermittently, it has been very difficult to maintain motivation until I finish a piece. However, I found a good way. I felt that the key to maintaining motivation was to be flexible and adapt to changes in direction and complete the artwork, without being bound by the image of the finished work I had in mind at the beginning. I began to think that it was not me who completed the work, but rather that “The artwork responded to the current physical environment and energy flow surrounding me, as well as the vector of my heart, and it guided me towards my goal, which is how the work was completed.”
Can you talk about the role of storytelling and narrative in your work?
My final goal is to lead people to a dimension where they can continue to respect each other’s hearts, feel joy and love, and celebrate the beauty of emotions, regardless of the type of person or creature.
What do you consider to be the most rewarding aspects of your work?
When my artwork touches someone’s heart.
What advice do you have for aspiring artists who are just starting out?
Live your art as you live your life. Even when you’re not creating art, always live your life believing that you are an artist.
It is your heart that creates your artwork.
I hope you will nurture your heart in a way that only you can.
I believe that this will lead to originality.
I believe that art can magically transform sad and difficult times into happiness later on.
