About the Gallery
Haven Gallery is run by Erica Berkowitz and Joseph Weinreb. The gallery first opened in 2015 in the Carriage House of historic Northport, NY. Within two years, the gallery doubled in size and expanded into the entire Carriage House building. Through their successful in-house exhibitions and presentations at art fairs both domestic and international, Haven opened a secondary location at 90 Main St., in 2020, during the height of the Covid pandemic. It was at that point, that Erica and Joseph knew it was time to find a permanent location for their artists. In January of 2022, they bought the building at 50 Main st., and opened its doors as Haven Gallery’s perennial home.
Haven Gallery’s focus is on exhibiting emotionally, intellectually and imaginatively driven, representational artwork that connects the audience and artist with universal axioms and passions. We work with both emerging and established artists who transcend their medium and subjects by exploring the world around them as well as the one within themselves.
Genevive Zacconi, Invictus
Haven Gallery is honored to present a collection of new works from Philly/South American based artist Genevive Zacconi, entitled “Invictus,” for her second solo show at the gallery. “Invictus” features seven carved oil paintings that blend traditional portraiture with symbology. Zacconi’s influences stems both from antiquity and her own personal narratives and experiences, highlighting the universality and timelessness of these motifs and their relevance throughout the evolution of mankind. Zacconi’s work demands the viewer see through both a historical and contemporary lens, encouraging introspection of oneself and the world around them.
Artist Statement
Genevive Zacconi employs traditional oil painting techniques alongside age-old symbolism to create works that explore interpersonal dynamics, spirituality, feminine archetypes, and broader aspects of the human experience. Over the past few years, her art has incorporated carving into the wood panels she paints on, as well as overlays of gold leaf — the artist has stated that she uses incision and reflection as a response to the digital era, creating objects that cannot be replicated on a screen or by a printing machine, and that demand to be experienced in person.
Her new series, “Invictus,” delves into themes of resilience, drawing loosely on imagery and esoteric references from Classical Antiquity. Inspired by her own experiences and shaped by universal themes, Zacconi compiles ancient iconography into a personal language, layering meaning in each painting much as she layers her materials, and creating depth that invites viewers to explore both the physical and narrative strata of her work.
About Genevive Zacconi
Genevive Zacconi’s paintings have been displayed at prominent galleries across the world, in both solo and group exhibitions. She has been featured by media outlets such as MSNBC, Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, Beautiful Bizarre, and in numerous hardbound art books. Her illustration and design work can be found in advertisements, album art, and novels. In addition to creating her own art, Zacconi was the director of Trinity Gallery in Philadelphia, worked as painting assistant to Ron English, was co-founder and director of Last Rites Gallery in New York City, and served as exhibition director for the world’s largest erotic art expo.
She has written about art for multiple arts organizations and internationally distributed magazines, and co-authored with Daniel Martin Diaz 2023’s “Iconoclasm.” Zacconi currently splits her time between Philadelphia and the Yucatan Peninsula.

Grace Aldrich, Solitude
Haven Gallery is honored to present “Solitude”, an exhibition of new paintings by Kansas based Grace Aldrich. “Solitude” is Aldrich’s first solo show at the gallery and features ten acrylic paintings that focus on liminal landscapes of past, present and future. Solitary figures may be found entering towering structures or perhaps already inside, gracefully suggesting the larger presence of civilization and structure over the individual.
Feelings of solitude, loss, hope and growth resonate from these surreal landscapes, creating novel emotions and evoking a visceral response. Aldrich’s imagination and understanding of architecture transport the viewer to worlds beyond reality; worlds that represent the complex framework of the human condition.
About Grace Aldrich
Grace Aldrich is an artist and illustrator working out of Kansas City, KS. She has exhibited in LA, NY, OR, KS, and CA. Her paintings are in private collections across the U.S., and her commercial illustration work has been commissioned by clients such as Vanity Fair, The Folio Society, Cherrytree Music Co., and Gollancz.
Grace’s practice is driven by the quiet feelings of darkness in the mundane and the necessity to find solace in the surreal. Her work seeks to merge narrative art with the abstract, turning the intangible into tangible by giving them a voice as physical places, creatures, and characters within her paintings. Utilizing these backdrops as a cathartic battleground with which she can achieve a greater understanding of the otherworldly nature of life. These pieces often employ large scale canvases where the artwork can turn from a painting into an experience, offering the viewer immersion into a world entirely of her making.
Her work has been recognized by the juries of 3×3 Magazine, The Society of Illustrators, The Society of Illustrators West, Beautiful Bizarre, Surreal Salon, Infected by Art, Artists Network, and American Illustration.

Seada, When the Garden Whispered
Haven Gallery is honored to present “When the Garden Whispered”, an exhibition of new watercolor paintings by Thailand based Seada. “When the Garden Whispered” is Seada’s first solo show at the gallery and features eight new paintings that intertwine stories from Greek mythology with the traditional stylization of Thai art. Seada weaves colors, design and botanicals with her quintessential feline sitters as they playfully reenact these universal narratives from antiquity.

Artist Statement
Back in a time when Greek mythology was more than just myth, when it was a way for humans to understand the world around them, people used stories to explain the mysteries of nature; including the unique characteristics of flowers and plants.
In this series of works, I reimagine Greek mythological paintings through the lens of Thai traditional art, incorporating its distinctive patterns, shapes, and lines into the forms of various cats. These works bring to life the stories behind each flower and plant; some born from sorrow, some driven by desire, and some remaining faithful, forever devoted to a love that can never be.

Lynne Bellchamber, Whispering Wings
Haven Gallery is honored to present “Whispering Wings”, an exhibition of new paintings by England based Lynne Bellchamber. “Whispering Wings” is Bellchamber’s first solo show at the gallery and features twelve acrylic works of ethereal fairyfolk as they meander through fields of flowers, mushrooms and trees, commingling with animals and the natural world. Jewel tone palettes with gossamer lighting transport us to the magical and secretive lives of these tiny beings, embracing us in their magic and brightness.
About Lynne Bellchamber
Lynne was born in Reading and grew up in the leafy market town of Wokingham, in Berkshire. Even from an early age she showed great promise as an artist, a talent which was encouraged by her school teachers.
Lynne studied at Brighton University, where she gained her degree in Fine Art in 1998. It was whilst studying at Brighton that she met her now husband James, and they decided to settle in the nearby town of Eastbourne.
Her first show was the Art Foundation End of Year Exhibition, where every piece of her work was sold. She also exhibited at the Fine Art Painting End of Year Degree Show 1998. Lynne returned to Berkshire in 2008 where she now resided with James, her two daughters and two cats. Sadly, James passed away unexpectedly in 2020, but Lynne is still finding peace in her artwork. James will continue to motivate and inspire her with every piece she paints.

KCN, Light and Sound
Haven Gallery is honored to present Taiwan based artist, KCN, for his third show, entitled “Light and Sound”, at the gallery. “Light and Sound” features ten new graphite drawings that explore the scientific principles of energy through both sound and light waves, as they take on different behaviors and forms.
The artist uses this branch of knowledge to continue his exploration of individual and societal identity as the influence of multiculturalism continues through historical into modern day. Through the lens of particle physics, an empirical approach to the overall applications of energy in their multitude of forms is examined, documented and reflected in an artistic genesis of both KCN’s own identity and artistic oeuvre.
About KCN
KCN, originating from a Taiwanese farming family, has held various roles such as a manga artist, game art designer, illustrator, and commercial designer. Influenced by the lifestyle of grandparents during Taiwan’s pre-World War II Japanese era, and growing up in the industrial city of Kaohsiung, the artist’s creations reflect a blend of Japanese pre-war culture and steampunk aesthetics.
Currently focused on oil and pencil paintings, all artistic skills are self-taught. With a passion for both traditional and modern Japanese culture, KCN aspires to create a unique artistic worldview based on personal experiences and a distinctive style.
KCN was born Wu Hsuyao in 1972 in Beidou, Changhua county, Taiwan. He debuted as a cartoonist, with two cartoons, “Kirin the Beast” and “Journey to the West”, and then turned to illustration and game art work. For a long time, Taiwan’s pre-war history has been the main axis of his creation. His works have been popular with painters in Taiwan and Japan. Over the years, he made hundreds of artworks. KCN’s grandfather was a renowned person in the village of Beidou, and was loved by the villagers for his integrity and affection.
KCN was deeply inspired by grandfather’s teaching. After the ban on “Taiwanology” was lifted, KCN read many books about Taiwan’s history. He deeply understood the social atmosphere before World War II and the special emotional ties between Taiwanese and Japanese. His illustrations were also based on the suppressed history and characters of the Japanese colonial era in Taiwan (1895-1945), and his enthusiasm has also inspired many people from all over the world, possibly because of the special historical and emotional bond between Taiwan and Japan. His works have great resonance in Japan and the world.
