CODA, in conjunction with Popcore, Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment, are pleased to present an officially licensed art exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s seminal film, JAWS. The extravagant exhibition will feature all new paintings, sculpture, and limited editions, all celebrating one of cinema history’s best known shark films. This is not to be missed. The event opens this Saturday June 28th, 2025!
When JAWS premiered in 1975, it didn’t just redefine the thriller genre, it completely changed Hollywood film making.
The first true summer blockbuster, Steven Spielberg’s masterful direction combined with John Williams’ iconic score created a sensory experience that forever changed how audiences engage with the silver screen. The film’s influence can be found throughout popular culture, from dramatic suspense building techniques to the marketing strategies that now dominate the industry. JAWS also marked a turning point in the psychological portrayal of fear and nature in media, turning the ocean into both a literal and metaphorical abyss.

Valencia‑born DULK is an internationally recognized artist known for his exploration of ecological surrealism and activism. He’s exhibited around the world at notable galleries like Thinkspace (LA) and Harman Projects (NYC), and has shown in museums such as the Honolulu Museum of Art, Mesa Art Museum, STRAAT Museum and MOAH (Lancaster Museum of Art and History).
Above featured artists Grzegorz “Gabz” Domaradzki and Krzysztof Domaradzki have joined forces on this new design that seamlessly blends their illustrative and typographic styles. This 36″ x 24″ eight colour screen print was masterfully separated by Saniose and comes perfectly printed by DL Screenprinting, and will be available in a limited edition of 200, each hand numbered.

Known for his enigmatic sharks often found swimming through his paintings, Chris Austin is a painter and sculptor living and working in Toronto, Canada, whose paintings depict captivating scenes imbued with a surreal luminescence. His works are inspired by his travels through North America, and in particular, the Pacific Northwest. Chris explores the fluctuating state of nature and our place within that narrative. The underlying theme of his artwork is the climate crisis and the irreversible impact it has on wildlife. Chris also seeks to change the perspective of predator animals by introducing an alternative view of these majestic creatures.
Ceramicist Lorien Stern‘s sculptures stir a gentle affection in the heart with their warmth and playfulness as even the (usually) most threatening of animals are portrayed with a fun and quirky vibe. “Jaws was a staple thriller of my childhood and had a big impact on my fascination with sharks. I am so honoured to be a part of this show!” she shares.
