Return to Beauty

Return to Beauty explores the notion and feeling of rediscovering beauty in a world often dominated by noise, disruption and freneticism. What do we gain when we prioritize wonder, skill, and sensory pleasure again? Is beauty superficial, or is it essential?

“Return” suggests both nostalgia and renewal – not a retreat into the past, but a reconsideration of what beauty means today. The exhibited artists may draw on classical techniques, natural forms, or timeless subjects such as the human figure, landscape, light, and balance. This lens is open, void of cynicism and acerbity, instead inviting both artists and viewers alike to rekindle and reconnect with harmony, craftsmanship, and emotional depth.

Ultimately, Return to Beauty positions beauty not as decoration, but as a vital human need – something that restores attention, inspires hope, and revives our connection to each other and the natural world.” ~ Louise McIntosh, Co-Founder & Owner of Outré Gallery

This is the first time that Beautiful Bizarre Magazine has worked with Outré Gallery in this capacity, and we are so grateful to the Gallery Founders and Owners Louise & Martin McIntosh together with their team for their professionalism and hard work on behalf of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine and all the artists involved.

Our deepest gratitude also goes to the 100 artists from around the world who contributed such incredible work to this exhibition. Thank you also to all of the artists, fans and collectors who attended the opening reception! You can see all of the photographs from the opening reception of the Return to Beauty here.
