Press Release //
Modern Eden Gallery is pleased to present Origin Story, a new sculpture series by Angelique Benicio exploring ancient truths and our ongoing quest for meaning.
“Language, our ability to communicate, share knowledge and work together are what makes us unique. Our collective history provides the blueprint for our survival and guides our every move. The decisions that each of us make are based on experiences – what our history has taught us about how to survive and keep safe. These instructions are encoded in the cellular memory of our DNA, DNA that is bound together by the very same material which was created in the first seconds of the universe. This cellular knowledge inspires our words, actions and behavior. Acknowledging the quiet forces that guide us empowers us to be more conscious of the direction we choose to move in next.”
