Art is a visual language, what are you hoping to communicate to the viewer through your work?
I translate ideas from art photography into painting. I am interested in subjects, personalities and not objects, as is usually the case in fashion photography. By hanging collages, I try to create tension by showing series at the same time.

You have a very distinctive style, what drew you to working with this medium?
I don’t use a specific technique, but try to achieve a special depth of color by layering layers of paint using the different techniques (airbrush, pastel, watercolor and oil).
Did you do any formal study in the arts? Did you find it helpful or a hindrance?
No art studies. If I had studied, I could have saved myself a few technical detours.

Who is your biggest art throb and why?
Gottfried Helnwein. His craftsmanship and the beauty of his portraits, not the disturbing compositions, have always motivated me.
