Joe Vaux: ‘Fever Dreams’
Joe Vaux’s solo exhibition at Copro Gallery unveils a series of works created during the 2020 lockdowns. A visual diary of a uniquely horrific year, the paintings depict the myriad of experiences and emotions which Joe went through at the time. Naturally, Joe has portrayed these via his personal aesthetic, interpreting his joys, fears and stresses into a series of surreal characters and bizarre situations. The effect is both strangely disturbing and entertaining at the same time. “Creativity was my torch.” Joe Vaux shares about this series. “There is light within the darkness.”
What a year for darkness! So many souls lost, so much hate and ignorance! These days will make a very interesting chapter in future history books. As we emerge from our cocoons after a year unlike any in modern times, let’s hope sanity prevails.

Alex Garcia: ‘Amore Muerte’
Alex Garcia’s exhibition Amore Muerte (Love Death) shares a new body of work which continues to strengthen his new direction as an artist. While his earlier works leaned more into darker imagery, Alex has spent the past few years exploring more positive themes and motifs. Amore Muerte still has an echo of his earlier style while focusing more on happier stories that he hopes the viewer will connect with. Each painting holds its own narrative, a tale to be discovered, a journey started by Alex and which waits to be completed by each individual viewer.
Overall, he hopes that you will take something positive from each painting. “If someone smiles when they see one of my paintings then I know it was a success.” He muses.
Sazha Gazova: ‘Follow The White Rabbit’
Additionally to the two painting solo exhibitions, Copro Gallery proudly presents a mini debut solo show by Sazha Gazova. A Ukraine artist and sculptor, Sazha has created a series of artworks which delve into an array of fantastical creatures from her childhood. Her pop surrealist creations celebrate a vibrant quirkiness, and while her characters echo elements of Alice in Wonderland, Sazha successfully puts her own twist to create unique, Gazova personalities which will stay with you forever.
