You'll find many wild visual contrasts in Tony Guo

You'll find many wild visual contrasts in Tony Guo's (aka @guotentag) paintings. Some of his canvas contemplations are connected to his admiration for surrealistic subject matter. Other concepts are inspired by the ideas conveyed in Ralph Waldo Emerson's 1836 essay, "Nature." The 19th-century transcendentalist spoke - among many other things - about how matter is made of energy, and that the key to nature's laws can be found in the shells upon a beach. No matter your position on the hows and whys of life, we can probably all agree that there are so many magical mysteries that are hard to fit inside a neat-and-tidy box of logic.
