@kristinkwanart and her unique pieces: The colours, details, composition and concept… just everything!!! Looking at Kristin’s work is genuinely joy-inducing, just like entering a world in which everything is possible, like a surreal (and of course beautiful, bizarre) dreamscape!
Entries are now open for the 2023 @worldofwearableart competition!
In 2023, there are six worlds or section themes for designers to be inspired from when entering the Competition. This includes three recurring sections; Aotearoa, Avant-garde and Open, and three sections, Gold, Mars & Beyond and Bizarre Bra, that are unique to 2023.
We hope you are inspired by this awesome video featuring some of the past entries from the Open section - we're already VERY excited to see what next year has in store!
Head to World of Wearableart's page for more info :)
“The crowned jaguar represents our Latin American roots and embodies the wild and raw power of the music presented in this album. It also represents the intersection between the two worlds we experience as immigrants and the transition to a new global realm. The idea of reconnecting to the land and our own wilderness is a constant spark of hope that guides the kind of art we create.”
The ethereal beauty and deep connections - @katherine_gailer_art’s album cover for @amaru_tribe is a force. When visual artists and musicians collaborate, true magic happens, and this project is no exception!

"My work touches on the fragility and acute vulnerability of our natural world and the devastating impact of humans on our planet. It also questions feminine stereotypes, allowing vulnerability, strength, power, myth, darkness and light to all co-exist." - Lilli Waters
