Roland Mihail’s paintings take the viewers on a visual journey into a world of intricate details, sacred objects, and intertwined narratives. The artist @rolandmikhail, who also creates powerful and delicate sculptures, shares in his statement:
“Years ago, I started an investigation into the nature of sacred objects. What I came away with was an understanding of their character and creation. This became the bedrock of my creative process. (...) There are some works that once the eyes see, they cannot forget. The psyche is seized somehow. These are works that touch and feed the soul. I strive to make something for the world that the eyes cannot forget.”
Wow! Can you imagine walking into this mind-blowing installation?
@teamlab makes it possible! The international collective states that this “a garden where visitors can become one with the flowers, immersing themselves in over 13,000 live orchids that bloom in mid-air; and a moss garden filled with ovoids that shine and resonate when pushed by people or blown by the wind.”
This is one of nine installations at the ‘TeamLab Planets Tokyo’. If you are around or visiting Tokyo, make sure to check out the museum!
The digital illustrations of @samrodriguezart remind me of video game aesthetics and pixel-universes - but his portraits are so much more than this! The digital artist explores different styles within one work and transforms a diverse set of elements into an interconnected narrative.
This collaboration by @timonimveldt and @danielbolliger was a contribution to the exhibition ‘QUEER - Diversity is in our nature’ in Bern. The ‘insect nails’ by @gigi_nailz and the custom jewellery by @chrishabana round up the stunning appearance of model @elie.autins and create the beautiful, bizarre look we love!
