When we came across the Kaligrafics Sant Feliu + Contorno Urbano Muralism International Call to Artists, we were eager to spread the word. This is a wonderful opportunity for emerging and established artists. As part of the Contorno Urbano Press Release, the city council of Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona, Spain) is launching a public competition to paint a huge mural (400m2- roughly 4305 square feet), as part of the full remodeling of the Plaza de la Salut.
They are offering an INCREDIBLE PRIZE to the winner in the amount of 7.000€ plus the organization will cover all the expenses for equipment, accommodation, travels and meals.
The Plaza de la Salut is located in one of the neighborhoods built during the development and speculation fever of the Sixties, and that has been restored to the neighborhood after a long fight of the community, that culminated with the first democratic Council expropriating the land in 1979.
The selected artist will have an artistic residence to become acclimated to the city and context of the mural, and will create the mural during spring 2018. Visit the Contorno Urbano website for official details and entry form. Don’t miss this opportunity!
Deadline is September 15, 2017 | 12PM
This is in no way affiliated with Beautiful Bizarre Magazine and we are NOT part of the selection team.
Thank you & good luck!
