For the entire week of September 14-20th, the residents of the Mile High City were treated to a bombardment of great art, as the streets of our beloved River North (RiNo) district flooded with creativity and transformed into The Colorado Crush. With the help of the good people at Liquitex, Crush board members Jonathan Lamb, Robin Munro, and Ken Wolf secured walls, materials, and an impressive artist line-up including flying in artists Blaine Fontana, David Rice, Lauren YS, David Shillinglaw, and 50+ of Colorado’s best muralists and graffiti artists.
The highlight of the week was Friday night when the fellas from Secret Walls were at Knew Conscious Gallery to facilitate a showdown between two groups of four artists. One group from Denver the other comprised of artists from outside the area. For 90 minutes, the two squads painted using only black. At the end, the crowd cheered to chose a victor and the locals won. Because we love you, beautiful.bizarre was on hand to get pictures and make sure no one missed any of the carnage!
