Next Saturday, Arthatch and Distinction Gallery will present an exhibition surreal art collectors and enthusiasts wouldn’t want to miss: Jon Jaylo‘s ‘As The Moon Draws Water’. Jaylo is a Filipino artist whose surrealistic paintings have received global acclaim. Laden with symbolic meanings, his works have gained huge traction with collectors and auction houses. This solo exhibition will showcase the artist’s newest works he specifically created for this show.
Jaylo will be in attendance at the opening reception to meet, greet, and answer questions. There will be a book signing event at 8 PM. The artist’s monograph – that also contains an essay by the esteemed art critic Robert Pincus – will be available for purchase. Anyone who attends this event are welcome to enjoy some complimentary wine and Stone Beer, as well as live music by Amanda Portola and Kenny Hill. Local artists within the ArtHatch building will also have their studio open to the public for the duration of the opening reception.
