Giorgia Napoletano – metamorphosis of the body

Giorgia Napoletano, also known as Blekotakra (Italian girl) is a young digital photographic artist from Italy. Born in Pescara in 1991, this hugely talented artist and student of Architectural Engineering began taking self-portraits at the age of 16 as a way of expressing herself.  Many years later Giorgia now has an impressive portfolio of hauntingly beautiful images.

Her work is an expression of her emotions with a strong emphasis on the metamorphosis of the body. She digitally manipulates her pictures to create thought-provoking effects that emphasise the mind/body dichotomy.

Giorgia has been published in New Zealand, Australian and European editorials.  Check out some of her incredible work!
