Freaks Circus ‘An-an-ri’ @ Vanilla Gallery

Japanese artist duo Freaks Circus (aka Kuro & Shiro) first solo exhibition of their incredible handmade dolls is showing at Vanilla Gallery in Tokyo, Japan from 21 – 26 July.

Step into a world of twisted childhood fantasies, as the ‘An-an-ri’ exhibition unfolds the sumptuous red curtain, and we glimpse through a tiny window from a little girls room, the wondrous creatures and creations of Freaks Circus. We discover the dark secrets hidden under the gold-brocade kimono: an old hags lullaby, a cry in the dark, a white eyed babe seeing into the shadows, Siamese twins and dark twisted things. Just one taste of the bizarre world of Freaks Circus will addict and draw you into the delicious dark fantasy.  But beware! You should never touch the shiny things that glow in the dark!
