On April 18th, Brazilian Fashion photographer Fernando Mazza Canteras will have the place of honor in upscale Wooster Street Social Club art gallery in New York. His exhibition, called ‘Arte+Moda e Tinta’ discusses the intertwining of Fashion with other arts, such as painting, design, architecture and tattoo.
Fashion Photography is more than shooting a model. We need to think Art.
proclaims the São Paulo born photographer, now settled in New York City.
His work has got the polish of the sophisticated fashion magazines, but his attention to texture and the dramatic intensity of detail provides an edgy conceptual aspect to his photography. Whether contrasting his models against the cold skyline or extracting the morbid from beauty, Fernando Mazza Canteras produces striking images that capture the viewers imagination.
If you happen to be in Soho next week, I recommend you to stop by the launching of his exhibition in the art gallery of Wooster Street Social Club, the world renown tattoo shop that took its fame from TLC’s show NY Ink, located at 43 Wooster Street, NYC.
